چکیده
This paper introduces a general modeling framework for multi-type maximal covering location problem in which the position of facilities different normed spaces are simultaneously decided to maximize demand generated by set points. From need intertwining decisions discrete and continuous sets, hybridized is considered some types be located finite sets others spaces. The study proceeds considering particular case Euclidean plane. Maximal Covering Location Problems on networks with regional demand
Covering problems are well studied in the Operations Research literature under the assumption that both the set of users and the set of potential facilities are finite. In this paper we address the following variant, which leads to a Mixed Integer Nonlinear Program (MINLP): locations of p facilities are sought along the edges of a network so that the expected demand covered is maximized, where ...
متن کاملDiscrete cooperative covering problems
A family of discrete cooperative covering problems is analysed in this paper. Each facility emits a signal that decays by the distance and each demand point observes the total signal emitted by all facilities. A demand point is covered if its cumulative signal exceeds a given threshold. We wish to maximize coverage by selecting locations for p facilities from a given set of potential sites. Two...
متن کاملPresenting a three-objective model in location-allocation problems using combinational interval full-ranking and maximal covering with backup model
Covering models have found many applications in a wide variety of real-world problems; nevertheless, some assumptions of covering models are not realistic enough. Accordingly, a general approach would not be able to answer the needs of encountering varied aspects of real-world considerations. Assumptions like the unavailability of servers, uncertainty, and evaluating more factors at the same ti...
متن کاملComparison of Emergency Medical Services Delivery Performance using Maximal Covering Location and Gradual Cover Location Problems
Received Feb 14, 2017 Revised May 30, 2017 Accepted Aug 11, 2017 Ambulance location is one of the critical factors that determine the efficiency of emergency medical services delivery. Maximal Covering Location Problem is one of the widely used ambulance location models. However, its coverage function is considered unrealistic because of its ability to abruptly change from fully covered to unco...

This paper proposes a new hybrid technique called ”partial parameter uniformization” to hybrid discreteand continuous-time models for batch sizing and scheduling problems. The uniformization method simpli...es a problem by ignoring the di¤erent values of some parameters that the problem can take, which can facilitate the solution of some complex combinatorial optimization problems. Good feasibl...
